A small ship with sails, Pancake Island, syrup sea, lettuce treasure on land, and french fry sailor.....What an imagination hu? We had fun!

We had an awesome time hanging out with Mom and Richard! We need to do that more often. Thrift store shopping with the Senior citizen discount was the best!

Richard cracks me up. He has some of the most hilarious stories around, and he got a bit emotional today telling me a sweet story about his older brother. He had polio and had braces on his legs. All of the kids made fun of him and Richard used to get in fights with the kids weekly just to defend his brother who was 2 years older than Richard.

He took his brother around in a wagon everywhere they went and they played on the farm they grew up on like there was no tomorrow. I could picture them down at the river, in the barn or just being at school.

He loved his brother and said he was the best kid ever! Sweet, kind and had the best personality.

He got teary eyed just talking about him. I hope Richard's brother knows how much he cared for him. It was sweet.....

Growing UP

Well, it's easy to say that my Little Girl is growing up! I took Mirella today to drop off her job applications.

She is getting too big...already applying for a summer job to save her own money for her very own car. We told her if she saved half, we would put in the other half. Totally fair! I wish my parents had done this for me...

She applied at Forever 21, American Eagle, Sanrio, Billabong, and Journey's Shoes. She is only working during the week and having weekends off. She needs the break. She is a hard worker and I am so proud of her to even want to get a job period, most kids would want to sit at home and be a couch potato for the 11th summer in a row...Not Mirella, she is going to save for that car no matter what!!

Don't worry baby, your brand new Mercedes is coming Senior year. You only have 2 more years to make the 4.0 and I know you will do it!!!

Daddy and Mommy are so proud of you. :)

CORA PAIGE

I have been thinking alot about the family that recently lost their little Daughter Cora. We at Etsy all got together to make stuff and donate in her honor. I will continue to do this in the months to come. I feel any little bit I can contribute is helping.

So far we have raised over $16,000 for a playground that will be built at the church in honor of Baby Cora.

It seems nice enough that other children will be able to play on that playground for years to come but not her? It makes me so sad. The pain that family is going through must be unbearable, and saddens me very much. But she is in heaven with the Angel's now and feels no pain.

TWILIGHT

Ok, so late last night at 10 till 12:00 Gil asked me if I wanted to run to the store to get the Twilight movie (Blue Ray.) I was going to wait until the morning but quickly changed my mind and I thought it would be fun to see how many people would also be out for it! So we left the kiddies in bed and went to ZIA records on Mill Ave. We don't think they were allowed to sell the Blue Ray copies because of licensing purposes but thankfully they had about 10 copies. There were about 20 people in that little shop and outside waiting (that's alot for ZIA)....we walked in, walked out...stopped for beer and went home to watch it! We stayed up till after 2:00am.

I will also be watching it when my Mom and Uncle Jason come to watch it with us around 1:00. YAY! I can watch all I want now, and I have two versions of the DVD so the kids can also watch it in my truck. So cool.

TWILIGHT ON BLUE RAY

So in the beginning we were noticing that Twilight was NOT coming out on Blue Ray. Gilbert goes to a Blue Ray website where they tell you all of the upcoming and new releases that are formatted for Blue Ray. Twilight was not on the list. :(

Of course I will still watch it on regular DVD but the Blue Ray would have been SOO much nicer. To see Edward in the BEST quality. I wonder if he would look any hotter? Hmmm. :)

So, last night I was watching American Idol and a commercial came out for the release of Twilight on Blue Ray!!!! Get it at Best Buy....I was soooo excited. I will be there getting it and I think my Mom is coming over that night to watch it with us!

I cannot wait. Finally I can replay it over and over...I already know it by heart and can recite the words. hehe :)
