Ronald McDonald House~

My Daughter has been doing volunteer work and community service since 6th grade and she is now a Sophmore in High School. This is one of our many ventures the other night at The Ronald McDonald House here in downtown Phoenix. She took along Mishaela who is starting her community service hours too. They had loads of fun!! Doing something for fun, but for a good cause.

The girls served dinner for the families that are staying there with their sick children. They toured a few rooms that are decorated or adopted by host families. The families have lost a child to cancer, adopt the rooms and decorate them in loving memory of their lost (but not forgotten child.)

So the pictures you see below are two rooms that are decorated for NEW families with their sick children to stay in while they are having treatments or surgery. It makes the child and family feel more it's a NEW home to stay in for awhile......
